Cathryn Britton Solicitor

Cathryn was admitted as a solicitor in 1980. After graduating from the University of Bristol with LLB Hons, she studied her articles under Burrough, Horner & Pigott in Wedmore and became a partner a few years later for Bristol firm Allen and Partners.
Cathryn decided to branch out and set up her own firm- Britton and Co in 1992 after recovering from a serious fight with Meningitis and has gone from strength to strength ever since.
With over 40 years’ experience under her belt, Cathryn focuses on residential conveyancing, business leases and commercial conveyancing. She takes great pride in her attention to detail and is well known in the local community for her warm and approachable manner. It is not unusual for her to assist many generations of the same family as she has gained an exceptionally loyal client base throughout her time as a Solicitor.

Georgia Brown Licensed Conveyancer

Georgia has worked alongside her mother Cathryn since 2013. After graduating from Cardiff University with BA hons in Religion and Theology she decided to join the family firm and study in order to become a Licensed Conveyancer. She qualified in 2021.
Specialising in residential property, Georgia believes that in order for a transaction to go smoothly, communication is key. She adopts a personal yet professional approach to her work and enjoys guiding clients through the process, every step of the way.

In her spare time Georgia enjoys country walks with her dog Geoffrey and spending time with her family.

Roger Britton Wills and Probate Practitioner

Roger is the latest member of the family to join the Britton and Co team. With a strong background in business finance, he was a financial consultant in Bristol for many years before joining the Bristol and West legal department in 1994 to assist with loss recovery.
Having joined the firm in 2014, Roger has trained alongside our previous Probate Practitioner who, like Cathryn, has worked in the industry for over 40 years. Nothing is too much trouble and great care is taken when guiding individuals through what can often be their most difficult of times.

David Walsh Solicitor

David graduated in Leeds in 1982 and qualified as a Solicitor in 1984. This is when he chose to move to Weston-Super-Mare and join the team at Alletsons. In the late 1980’s David was welcomed as a partner at Fryer Collett & Co.
During this time, he specialised in conveyancing, probate and civil litigation.

In 1993, David joined forces with Graham Oxley and together they set up Oxley and Walsh Solicitors on Worle High Street. The duo worked alongside each other until 1996 when they decided to part on good terms. David went on to pursue more flexible locum work. This allowed him to gain more experience in Commercial departments of larger law firms. Over the years, David has proved to be an invaluable part of the conveyancing team. This is primarily because he is able to see things from a very objective point of view. David is highly experienced and as a result, will not over complicate things. He will provide you with clear, on the level advice throughout your transaction.

Following a 15 year career as an A Level lecturer at Weston College, she decided it was time for a change and joined the Britton and Co family in order to become a Licensed Conveyancer. She hopes to qualify late 2023.

When not being kept busy with her two children, she loves to go horse riding on the Mendip Hills.
